Ukrainian Military Denies Russian Claims of Capturing Rizdvyanka as Disinformation

Військові України спростували інформацію Росії про захоплення Різдвянки, назвавши її дезінформацією.

Defense Forces Reject Claims of Village Capture

A spokesperson for Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, has dismissed statements from the Russian defense ministry regarding the capture of the village of Rizdvyanka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, labeling them as disinformation. Voloshyn stated that reports of Rizdvyanka being taken are false and constitute a fabrication.

Rizdvyanka is situated 20-25 kilometers from the current frontline. For Russian forces to reach it, they would first need to seize several other settlements, including:

  • Dobropillia
  • Ternuvate
  • Kosivtseve
  • Prydorozhnie

Intense fighting is currently ongoing east of Dobropillia, which complicates any potential enemy advance. Vladyslav Voloshyn emphasized:

“This is complete nonsense, disinformation, and a fake. First of all, Rizdvyanka is located some twenty kilometers from the line of combat contact.” - Vladyslav Voloshyn

Status of Rodynske

Separately, the Defense Forces also refuted claims that Ukrainian troops were encircled in Rodynske, Donetsk Oblast. According to reports, Rodynske remains under the control of Ukraine's Armed Forces, and supply routes are functional. This indicates a stable situation in the area despite active hostilities.

The frontline situation remains tense. However, the denial of claims about the capture of strategic settlements suggests Ukrainian forces continue to maintain control over key territories. Such disinformation campaigns are a common tactic in modern warfare, aimed at influencing both military and civilian morale. The situation in the region requires careful monitoring, as intense combat could shift the balance of forces at any moment.
