Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian S-300V, Supply Depots, and Oil Facility in Major Overnight Operation

Українські військові завдали потужного удару по російським об'єктам, знищивши важливі склади та військову інфраструктуру.

Ukrainian Defense Forces Conduct Coordinated Strikes

In a significant overnight operation, Ukrainian forces targeted and destroyed key Russian military and energy infrastructure on occupied territory and within Russia itself. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strikes, which occurred on the night of March 12, successfully hit the following:

  • An S-300V anti-aircraft missile system launcher in the Borovenky area of Luhansk Oblast;
  • A command and observation post near Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
  • A material-technical supply depot and an ammunition storage facility in the Dubivske area of Luhansk Oblast;
  • A repair unit of an artillery brigade in Yakymivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
  • A train carrying fuel and lubricants in the Dovzhansk area of Luhansk Oblast.

In a separate action, Ukraine's Security Service struck the infrastructure of the Tikhoretsk oil pumping station in Russia's Krasnodar Krai. These coordinated attacks demonstrate Ukraine's growing capability to strike high-value targets deep behind enemy lines. Furthermore, drone attacks in Russia's Bryansk Oblast caused a power outage after a strike on the Novobryansk 750 kV substation in the same region. A local thermal power plant in Belgorod was also hit. In response to these events, authorities in Belgorod announced the evacuation of certain categories of the population to other regions of the Russian Federation, including Crimea.

“On the night of March 12, a launcher of the S-300V anti-aircraft missile system was hit in the Borovenky area of Luhansk Oblast, as well as an enemy command and observation post near Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

These strikes underscore the increasing operational reach of Ukrainian forces in response to Russian aggression, specifically by degrading critical enemy logistics and energy nodes. Such operations can significantly impair the Russian military's ability to sustain its frontline actions and boost Ukrainian morale. Simultaneously, the Russian authorities' evacuation order signals serious concern over regional security, which could lead to further escalations in the conflict.
