Latest Strikes by Kyiv's Forces
Ukraine's defense forces carried out attacks in Russia's Ryazan Oblast, Perm Krai, and Tatarstan, hitting oil-refining facilities. In addition, they struck a drone storage and launch site in Kursk Oblast and an unspecified target in the Black Sea. The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces reported these actions on September 6 and during the night of September 7, also confirming a strike on a railway bridge in Crimea, an ammunition depot, and Russian military command posts.
The refinery strikes are part of a broader Ukrainian effort to reduce the fuel supplies and logistics that support Russia's war machine, while also hitting high-value military targets inside occupied territory and Russia itself.
Additional Targets
On the occupied Crimean peninsula, near Vladislavivka, a railway bridge crossing the North Crimean Canal was struck. In Perekop, an automated technical-reconnaissance post known as Grenader was also damaged. In the Luhansk region, Ukrainian forces hit Russian command posts in Nyzhniy Naholchyk and Dovzhanske, plus an ammunition depot near Teply. Another command post was attacked in Azovske, in the Zaporizhzhia region.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said: 'Our warriors continue to answer Russia's strikes on Ukraine justly. An oil refinery was hit in the Ryazan region.'
The General Staff said that 'the extent of destruction is being determined. Work against key enemy military targets continues. To be continued!' The same night, after the Ryazan refinery was confirmed hit, four other targets were also attacked. Earlier, Ukrainian forces had already confirmed damage to the TANECO refinery in Tatarstan and an oil terminal in Taman.
Beyond their military impact, these strikes underline the vulnerability of critical infrastructure supporting Moscow's campaign. Ukrainian officials say such operations are essential for countering Russian aggression and protecting Ukrainian territory.
In addition to the recent refinery strikes, the General Staff of Ukraine has confirmed attacks on key military infrastructure, including the Ryazan Oil Refinery and an airport in Rostov. These actions highlight Ukraine's strategic approach to diminishing Russia's logistical capabilities and further escalating the ongoing conflict.
