Strike on the Vtorovo Pumping Station
Ukraine’s defense forces have carried out an attack on the Vtorovo intermediate oil product pumping station (IPS) located in the Vladimir region of the Russian Federation. This facility, owned by the public joint-stock company Transneft, serves as a critical hub for transporting diesel fuel and gasoline. Explosions were reported on the station’s grounds, triggering a large-scale fire at its technological infrastructure.
The Vtorovo IPS functions as one of the most vital distribution and transit nodes within Russia’s main oil product pipeline network. It ensures the pumping and stable transport of large volumes of light petroleum products along Russia’s central corridor.
