Strikes on Russian Occupier Assets
On the night of May 7, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out strikes against Russian occupier targets. Among the results, a small multi-purpose missile ship of Project 22800, the 'Karacurt,' was damaged near its base port of Kaspiysk in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. This vessel is capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles, and the extent of the damage is still being assessed.
In addition, several other key targets were hit. Specifically, the following were destroyed:
- An enemy command post in Sosnivka, Luhansk region;
- An enemy UAV control point near Yasne in Donetsk region;
- An ammunition depot in Kalmykivka;
- A fuel and lubricants storage facility near Smolyaninove, Luhansk region;
- Concentrations of enemy personnel near Dersove in Donetsk region and Smile in Zaporizhzhia region.
Escalation of Ukraine’s Defense Operations
Between May 3 and 4, Ukraine’s Defense Forces conducted strikes on Russian occupier assets, including a UAV storage site in the city of Donetsk and another in Kamianka, Zaporizhzhia region. An enemy UAV control point near Novohrodivka in Donetsk region was also hit. Furthermore, Ukrainian units struck the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Russia’s Perm Krai, located more than 1,500 kilometers from the front line.
These attacks reflect an intensification of Ukraine’s Defense Forces’ actions aimed at neutralizing the military capabilities of Russian occupiers. Hitting critical assets such as ships and depots can significantly disrupt enemy logistics and combat readiness.
