Ukrainian Defense Forces Strike Key Russian Military Sites and Logistics Hub in Donetsk Region

Effective Strikes by Ukrainian Defense Forces

On October 27 and during the night of October 28, Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out precision attacks targeting several critical military installations within Russian territory. The operations successfully destroyed the following assets:

  • a Tor-2M surface-to-air missile system;
  • a radar station;
  • an electronic warfare station;
  • a logistics depot of occupying forces in the Donetsk region.

Among the Russian-based targets hit was the Tor-2M missile system near Rzhava in Kursk Oblast. Additionally, the forces neutralized a radar installation in the village of Male Horodkove and an electronic warfare facility in Semyachki, Bryansk Oblast. In Donetsk, a supply depot supporting enemy forces was eliminated near Valerianivka.

Previous Attacks on Russian Military Infrastructure

Earlier, on October 23 and the night of October 24, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched strikes on several important targets in Russia, successfully damaging:

  • the main production building of JSC 'Proton-Electroteks' in Oryol;
  • the 'Togliattikauchuk' plant in Togliatti, Samara Oblast;
  • an aircraft at the Yeisk airfield in Krasnodar Krai;
  • the 'Azot' chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, where a fire broke out.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces highlighted that 'the more such gaps exist, the greater the Defense Forces’ ability to deploy drone systems at all levels.'

These operations demonstrate Ukraine’s ongoing campaign to degrade Russia’s military infrastructure amid the persistent conflict. The targeted destruction of pivotal enemy installations underscores Kyiv’s strategic objective to disrupt Russia’s combat capabilities. This escalation reflects the Ukrainian military’s adaptation to evolving warfare conditions and enhanced use of modern combat technologies. It also signals Ukraine’s intent to maintain pressure on Russian military assets as part of its broader resistance strategy.

As the Ukrainian forces continue to target key military assets, the recent strikes reflect an ongoing strategy to weaken Russia's operational capabilities. This follows a series of precision attacks, including successful hits on radar stations in Belgorod.
