Frontline Update: Kruglyk Island Assault Repelled
Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled a Russian attempt to land troops on Kruglyk Island in the Kherson region. According to Vladyslav Voloshyn, the enemy forces that attempted to storm Ukrainian positions were destroyed. This engagement occurred amid a broader pattern of intense combat, with one other clash recorded on the Dnipro River front in the past day. Kruglyk Island is a strategically significant location in the Dnipro River delta.
Scale of Russian Military Activity
Russian forces launched approximately 400 kamikaze drone strikes against Kherson and surrounding communities over the last 24 hours. Additionally, they carried out around a hundred artillery bombardments on the Dnipro River front. In total, 117 combat engagements were recorded, highlighting the severe intensity of fighting across the region.
On the Kharkiv front, the heaviest fighting was concentrated near the settlements of Dihitarne, Nesterne, and Krugle. Yesterday, the enemy also conducted one missile strike, launched 77 airstrikes involving 223 guided aerial bombs, and carried out a total of 3,840 bombardments of Ukrainian settlements and positions, 79 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
These actions confirm the sustained high level of military activity by the enemy across all front lines.
The described events underscore the critical situation at the front, where active combat continues at a high intensity. The failed attempt by Russian forces to seize Kruglyk Island reflects their ongoing strategic ambitions in southern Ukraine, while the sheer volume of attacks indicates a concerted effort to maintain pressure on Ukrainian defenses. This relentless pressure is a defining feature of the current phase of the war.
