Ukrainian military successfully halted the advance of Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction. With the help of the 1st Corps of the National Guard 'Azov' and other units, six populated areas, such as Hruzke, Rubizhne, Novovodyane, Petrivka, Vesele, and Zoloty Kolodiy, were completely cleared. Effective actions in the operational zone led to critical losses on the enemy's side.
According to the official statement of the corps command, the total losses of the invaders amounted to 385 people, of which 271 were irretrievable losses, 101 were wounded, and 13 were captured. A tank, armored vehicles, cars, motorcycles, and artillery guns were also destroyed. Security operations in the Dobropillya direction continue.
President Volodymyr Zelensky personally thanked the military brigades that participated in the defense of Donetsk region, among which he noted the 79th, 82nd Air Assault Brigades, and other units. He also expressed gratitude to the National Guard, 'Azov' fighters, and other parts involved in defending positions in Sumy region.
