Joint projects of Ukraine and the European Investment Bank
Today, experts selected seven projects in five regions for funding from the 'Ukraine Recovery III' program of the European Investment Bank (EIB). These projects aim to create accessible and modern public spaces and are being implemented under the initiative of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine - the Movement Without Barriers.
The Ukraine Recovery III program is being implemented jointly by the Government of Ukraine and the EIB, with a total contract amount of EUR 100 million. The money will go to the restoration of social infrastructure in regions affected by Russian aggression, as well as support for communities with a large number of internally displaced persons.
Details of selected projects
The requested support amount for the seven selected projects is about UAH 161 million. Communities in Volyn (2 communities), Ivano-Frankivsk (2 communities), Kirovohrad, Lviv, and Cherkasy regions have already submitted their project ideas.
- In the city of Volodymyr in Volyn region, the repair of the sidewalk on Kovel Street is planned with the arrangement of a barrier-free route for UAH 30 million.
- Also, sidewalk repairs are planned on European Street in the village of Ratne, Volyn region, for UAH 7.8 million.
In the city of Morshin in Lviv region, the reconstruction of recreational areas and the renovation of the resort for over UAH 27 million is planned. In the city of Talne, Cherkasy region, sidewalks on several streets are being repaired, and a barrier-free pedestrian route is being arranged for nearly UAH 16 million.
