The son of the former security chief of Yanukovych was sentenced for tormenting a Ukrainian woman

A court in Zaporizhzhia issued a ruling in the case of an FSB officer, finding him guilty of violating the laws of war. Yan Zanevsky was suspected of unlawfully detaining and torturing the wife of a Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman, who lived in the occupied city of Kamianka-Dniprovska.



According to the court's decision, he demanded information from the woman about local residents with pro-presidential beliefs, threatened her with physical and sexual violence, and intimidated her with weapons. After the woman was subjected to violence in the police station, she decided to seek help, but her health significantly deteriorated.



For these crimes, Zanevsky was sentenced to 12 years in prison, which he will begin serving from the moment of his arrest.
