The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued its forecast for August 9, indicating variable cloudiness nationwide, with brief showers and thunderstorm activity expected in select areas. In the southern and eastern parts of the country, daytime temperatures could climb as high as 33°C.
Overnight, most northern and central regions may see precipitation, while eastern and southeastern areas are likely to experience wet weather during the day. Some places could also see short downpours and thunderstorms, but the rest of Ukraine should remain dry. North winds of 7 to 12 meters per second are expected.

Nighttime lows are forecast to range from 12°C to 17°C, with daytime highs between 22°C and 27°C. In the south, east, and the Dnipropetrovsk region, overnight temperatures should stay between 18°C and 23°C, rising to 28–33°C in the afternoon. For Kyiv region, brief rains may occur at night, followed by a dry day; temperatures there are expected to be 12–17°C at night and 22–27°C during the day. In Kyiv itself, the thermometer is expected to show 15–17°C overnight and reach 24–26°C in the daytime.
