When Syrsky turns 60 this week, he will reach the retirement age established in Ukraine for military service. However, as the publication emphasizes, the military does not intend to retire.



Motivation and plans for the future

writes that the Commander-in-Chief can still do 100 push-ups without a break, despite getting little sleep. According to Syrsky, he is motivated by 'understanding my personal role in the process of protecting our population, our citizens. And I understand that I must do more and do better.'


Even after many years in high command positions, Syrsky says he feels most comfortable alongside infantrymen on the front lines. His aides expect that this is where he will celebrate his 60th birthday. However, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that it is too early to talk about it.


'It depends on God and my president,' said Syrsky.
