Escalation of hostilities in Donbas

Currently, the escalation of hostilities in Donbas continues, posing a threat to the stability of Ukrainian defense. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, visited command posts responsible for defending the Pokrovske direction. He confirmed that Russian troops are now actively concentrating their forces in this area.

During his visit, the commander communicated with officers, visited units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard, as well as commanders of drone units. From the results of the trip, one can conclude that the operational situation in eastern Ukraine is complex.

The greatest threat at present comes from the offensive activity of Russia in various directions, such as Pokrovske, Dobropillia, and Novopavlivka. Enemy forces are attempting to attack from several directions simultaneously and decentralize Ukrainian defense.

Ukrainian military forces are responding to this threat by intensifying the work of counter-sabotage units and strengthening the engineering component of defense. Syrsky instructed commanders to pay special attention to enhancing defense resilience and addressing identified issues.

The Commander-in-Chief concluded his visit by expressing gratitude to all servicemen who are guarding the defense in one of the most dangerous directions of the Ukrainian war.

During a meeting with officers in the Pokrovske direction, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, confirmed the escalation of hostilities in Donbas and emphasized the need to mobilize forces and respond to the aggressive actions of Russian troops.
