Ukraine needs more air defense systems to protect itself against potential Russian threats. General Oleksandr Syrsky stated that Kyiv should receive assistance from the United States and European partners to strengthen its defense capabilities.

According to an interview with The Washington Post, the new weapons include American Patriot missiles, interceptor drones, and light aviation. Expanded missile supplies will help counter Russian aggression and damage their military infrastructure.

'They are targeting virtually everything - airfields, populated areas, infrastructure objects,' Syrsky emphasized.

The general hopes that support for Ukraine from the U.S. will continue, but refrains from commenting on specific missiles. Recently, authorization was granted for some strikes using missiles, which changed the situation in the Kharkiv region. The Biden administration is concerned about the potential repercussions of such actions from Russia.

According to General Syrsky, Ukraine needs new air defense systems and missiles from the U.S. and Europe to adequately respond to potential Russian attacks and damage their military infrastructure. The general expressed hope for continued support from the U.S. president and also avoids comments on the presence of Ukrainian ATACMS missiles, considering the potential consequences from Russia.
