US President Donald Trump set an ultimatum for Vladimir Putin regarding a meeting with the Ukrainian leader, but Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov refused any negotiations without a previously agreed agenda.

The meeting is not planned

Lavrov emphasized that Ukraine must renounce NATO, cancel language laws, and recognize territorial issues that are not specified.

At the same time, Russia demands from Ukraine a ban on the deployment of European troops and prior agreement on concessions in relations with Donbas. Trump, for his part, warns of possible sanctions and security threats if Russia does not comply with the demands.

Putin and his entourage will avoid a meeting with Zelensky out of fear of losing face before Trump, who has become an important intermediary in relations between the US and both countries.
