Medical Battalion Sees Increase in Donations Amid Controversy
Yana Zinkevych, commander of the 'Hospitallers' medical battalion, has reported a significant rise in donations to the unit following public accusations of financial mismanagement. The controversy began when a fellow battalion member, Rina Smolnikova, raised concerns about the organization's financial operations. Zinkevych stated that within just two days, she was able to allocate over one million hryvnias from a fundraising target of 4.7 million hryvnias.
The 'Hospitallers' commander also noted that she made an initial payment of 500,000 hryvnias yesterday.
'I would like to say to those who tried to stage a provocation against us and launch a dubious information campaign: donations have only increased. Just today and yesterday, I have already managed to allocate over a million hryvnias from our 4.7 million hryvnia fundraiser. I will now proceed to make the second payment,' Zinkevych remarked.
Yana Zinkevych, who is also a member of parliament for the 'European Solidarity' party, emphasized that the continued trust and financial support validate the battalion's work.
'Therefore, it is precisely the trust in us and the donations to us that confirm our work. First and foremost, we demonstrate this best every day through our actions and the lives we save,' she added.
The 'Hospitallers' team has worked with Yana Zinkevych for over 12 years. She expressed gratitude to her team, highlighting their professionalism and dedication: 'I would first like to thank two categories of people. The first is my team, which has worked side by side with me for over 12 years, which knows, can do, and understands what it is doing.'
