Peter Hegseth, the head of the Pentagon, exchanged military plans on the messaging app Signal, which may jeopardize the American mission. An inspection revealed that he transmitted confidential information about military strikes without the necessary permits, violating security and legislation.
It was also discovered that former US President adviser Michael Waltz was involved in the Signal messaging scandal, creating a group chat for American officials. Notably, Peter Hegseth's personal phone number was publicly available even before the scandal began.
