The President of Poland reacted to the scandalous banner raised by 'Maccabi' Haifa fans during the qualifying match of the Conference League against 'Raków'. According to Karol Nawrocki, this banner insulted the memory of Polish citizens who suffered during World War II, particularly Jews.
During the match 'Maccabi' Haifa vs 'Raków', the home fans displayed a banner with the inscription 'Killers since 1939'. After the game, clashes occurred between the players of both teams, and the coach of 'Maccabi' refused to attend the press conference. An unsanctioned scuffle also took place in the stands.
The President of the Polish Football Association, Cezary Kulesza, expressed his intention to address UEFA regarding the scandalous incident during the match. 'Raków' defeated 'Maccabi' Haifa and advanced to the playoffs, where they will play against the Bulgarian club 'Arda'.
