In Poland, a scandal erupted over a video where children allegedly sing the national anthem of Ukraine in kindergartens. This video was published on January 6, 2026, but filmed on March 4, 2023, at Municipal Kindergarten No. 24 in Slupsk. The first to publish this video was Dariusz Matecki, a deputy from the 'Law and Justice' party. His post was viewed by 130 thousand users, and more than 3 thousand liked it.

In the video, the children perform a song, which caused outrage among some citizens. Dariusz Matecki raised questions about whether this is a state kindergarten, whether the ministry is aware of this stunt, and whether there was parental consent for their children to sing the anthem of a foreign state. These questions reflected concerns about the appropriateness of such an event in an educational institution.

However, the parents of the children who participated in the event for Ukraine Day supported this initiative. One of the parents, Monika Rapacewicz, stated:

'This day was not a political or ideological activity but a manifestation of respect for the children's identity and their needs in a crisis situation.'

She also emphasized that this was a time of immense fear, disorientation, and trauma for many families.

The situation surrounding this video continues to provoke discussions in society, and this issue seems likely to remain in the spotlight for a long time.
