In Odesa, the possibility of introducing free travel for schoolchildren on all types of city electric transport is being considered. Relevant proposals are being prepared by the profile services at the request of the head of the Odesa Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, which he announced.
Free travel for schoolchildren in Odesa
According to Lysak, the city is capable of implementing the program without significant burden on the budget, however, it will provide real relief for parents. He suggests that the right to free travel be confirmed by student tickets.
The official noted that a clear mechanism for the benefit's operation needs to be developed to launch the initiative. Relevant services are already working on options for its implementation.
Odesa prepares to introduce a new transport benefit
The benefit is set to cover all city electric transport. It concerns:

trolleybuses
-
city electric buses.
If the decision is approved, students will be able to use these types of transport for free with a student ticket. The city authorities promise to quickly finalize the documents so that the program can start as soon as possible.
