The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine lifted order No. 1112 and some provisions of order No. 1115 in July 2025, which limited distance education for children abroad. The changes have already been registered by the Ministry of Justice and officially published on the NUSH website.
Previously, Ukrainian children abroad had to study under a limited program, covering only subjects of Ukrainian studies. Now children have access to the full school curriculum. This decision was made to avoid the burden of learning in two schools simultaneously and to support Ukrainian children abroad in preparing for important exams.
The cancellation of restrictions on distance education is part of measures to improve the education system under conflict conditions. The new government plans to increase offline learning and ensure the safety of students. However, there are issues related to distance education that need to be addressed in the future.
