Collision on the Kyiv-Pereiaslav Highway
On June 22, a head-on collision between two passenger cars on the Kyiv-Pereiaslav highway near the village of Rohoziv claimed four lives and left three others with injuries of varying severity. Emergency services received the alert at 7:24 a.m. Both vehicles caught fire upon impact, significantly hampering rescue efforts.
Using specialized hydraulic rescue tools, first responders extracted the bodies of two victims from the mangled wreckage. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, with forensic procedures underway.
Fatal Accident in Obukhiv Region
Later the same day, another fatal crash occurred in the Obukhiv district on the Kyiv-Znamianka road, near the town of Kaharlyk. A 57-year-old driver of a Citroen C-Elysee veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a DAF truck, dying instantly at the scene.
These incidents serve as a stark reminder of the critical need for road safety awareness and adherence to traffic laws.
