Deadly Accident in Khmelnytskyi
Two young people lost their lives in a tragic road accident on the evening of May 16 in Khmelnytskyi. The victims were 21-year-old Yelyzaveta Buchynska and 24-year-old Dmytro Chervyakov. The driver of a BMW X4, 20-year-old Oleh Hryb, crossed into oncoming traffic and then mounted the sidewalk, where the vehicle collided with a concrete utility pole.
The crash occurred on Kamianetska Street, near the Oazis shopping center. Yelyzaveta Buchynska died at the scene, while Dmytro Chervyakov was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. “neither alcohol nor narcotic substances were found in his client’s blood.”
Hryb also claimed that before the collision,
“he felt unwell and applied the brakes.”Following the accident, he was escorted by an investigator to a medical facility to receive necessary treatment.
