Deadly Traffic Accident in Kyiv

A fatal collision occurred on Stetsenko Street in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district on February 3 at approximately 4:15 PM. The driver of a BMW, a 21-year-old man, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a KIA driven by a 44-year-old man. The crash resulted in the death of a 19-year-old female passenger from the Kyiv region, who was riding in the BMW. She sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The BMW driver suffered injuries of varying severity and was hospitalized. The driver of the KIA was not injured in the accident. Investigators and forensic experts worked at the scene. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which covers violations of traffic safety rules resulting in a fatality. This tragic incident highlights the severe consequences of reckless driving in urban areas.

Other Recent Traffic Incidents

In a separate incident on February 2 in the Kyiv region, a crash involving four vehicles resulted in one fatality and two injuries. The two injured individuals were hospitalized in the city of Bucha.
