Honoring the Memory of Ihor Baiik
Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died in the war, among whom a special place is occupied by Ihor Baiik. He died on November 19, 2025, leaving behind memories of courage and devotion to his country. Ihor Baiik was born on July 6, 1971, in Lviv, where he spent his childhood and youth.
After finishing school, Ihor served in the military. Subsequently, he worked as the director of the Children's and Youth Sports School of the Lviv Football Club. Participation in combat became an important part of his life. Ihor was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), and with the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he stood up to defend his homeland. He fought in the Donetsk direction as part of the 45th separate artillery brigade named after General Myron Tarnavskyi.

For his service, Ihor Baiik was awarded numerous honors, including:

- Award 'For Exemplary Military Service' of the III degree
His contribution to the defense of Ukraine will remain in the memory of not only his relatives but the entire country. Ihor Baiik is buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in the field of honorary burials No. 87. An important part of his life was his wife Marta and son Orest, who continue to remember his heroism and devotion.
