Today, December 14, Ukraine marks the Day of Commemoration for the Participants of the Chernobyl Disaster Liquidation. This day is dedicated to the hero-liquidators who, in 1986, risked their lives and health to stop the invisible enemy — radiation. The completion of the sarcophagus over the destroyed reactor became a symbol of their courage and self-sacrifice.
Deep respect to all liquidators! Eternal memory to those whom this tragedy took away. Your feat will forever be in our hearts.
