Today, at a government meeting, important decisions were made regarding support for people with disabilities that will ease their lives. In particular, it was decided to provide compensation for the retrofit of cars for persons with disabilities, as well as to increase the availability of prosthetics and orthotics for children and adults who have been affected by Russian aggression.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that the procedure for receiving a product or compensation remains unchanged, and it is regulated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 321. To access support, it is necessary to submit an application through the CNAP or online along with the required documents. Territorial divisions of the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities will consider the requests within three working days, after which a decision will be made regarding the payment of compensation. Upon receiving confirmation, parents or legal representatives will be able to contact the manufacturer for the product or to place an order for it. The replacement of the stump socket will also be carried out in several steps through the territorial division of the Fund.
Currently, favorable conditions have been created in Ukraine for people with disabilities to have the opportunity to ensure a more comfortable life and improve their mobility. The state is giving due attention to supporting this category of citizens, and this may become an important step toward improving their well-being and integration into society.
