According to the government program, payments will be automatically credited monthly without the need for additional applications. The amount of aid before taxation will be 2600 hryvnias, and after tax deductions, teachers will receive 2000 hryvnias.
As explained by the Ministry of Education: 'the funding is stable, no delays are anticipated.'
Payments will continue until the end of the year in which martial law is lifted. Therefore, if this happens, for example, in 2026, teachers will receive the allowance until December 2026.

The initiative has already been dubbed the principle of 'money follows the teacher'. The Ministry of Education hopes to increase the amount of the allowance in 2026, but this will depend on the availability of additional resources.
