Launch of the hybrid solar power station
The All-Ukrainian Rehabilitation Center "Tsibli" has launched a hybrid solar power station with an energy storage system as part of the "Ray of Hope" project. This facility serves more than 300 patients daily, and throughout the year, over 4,000 people use its services, primarily consisting of defenders of Ukraine and those affected by the war. The station, with a capacity of 210 kW, produces over 10 MWh of electricity per month, which potentially saves about 90,000 hryvnias each month at a rate of 9.16 UAH per kWh.
The hybrid solar power station is the result of a joint initiative between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. The station consists of:
- solar panels with a total installed capacity of 231.45 kW,
- an energy storage system with a capacity of 270 kWh,
- six hybrid inverters with a total capacity of 210 kW.
The actual volume of electricity generation depends on weather conditions and can increase more than twice during periods of highest solar activity.
Assistance and energy resilience
The "Tsibli" center provides various types of assistance, including medical rehabilitation, psychological and palliative support, comprehensive diagnostics, as well as cardiological, neurological, and dental care. The "Ray of Hope" program is implemented within the framework of the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, coordinated by the Energy Community Secretariat. Its goal is to enhance the energy resilience of healthcare facilities by providing them with solar panels, energy storage systems, and other equipment for guaranteed electricity supply.
The launch of the hybrid solar power station at the "Tsibli" rehabilitation center is an important step in ensuring the energy independence of the facility, which is particularly relevant in wartime conditions. Thanks to the new station, the center will be able to use resources more efficiently and ensure stable electricity supply, which, in turn, will improve the quality of medical care provided to patients. This project can serve as an example for other medical institutions interested in implementing renewable energy sources.
