These games become available starting August 4 and can be played through the end of summer. Everyone on the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers gets access to them.
A Closer Look at the New Arrivals
Polish developer Techland's Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition is the biggest name in this batch. It packages the 2022 base game with the Bloody Ties story expansion and more than a dozen updates, including the Firearms Update. The story takes place roughly two decades after the first Dying Light, following Aiden Caldwell as he searches for his missing sister, Mia, in the city of Villedor. Players can tackle the campaign alone or team up in co-op with up to three others.
Another highlight is Big Walk, the co-op adventure from House House, the studio known for Untitled Goose Game. The team calls it a 'walker-talker.' Big Walk hits PS5 on August 4 and joins PS Plus that same day. It supports 2 to 12 players, who communicate using voice messages and tools like walkie-talkies, laser pointers, binoculars, and more. Crossplay is also included with Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and Mac.
The lineup also features Signalis, a psychological survival horror from German studio rose-engine. It channels the style and mechanics of original PlayStation-era horror games with a top-down camera, pixel art, and late-1990s anime cutscenes. You play as Elster, a technical-class Replika, investigating the disappearance of her partner. Inventory space is tight at six slots, and storage chests only appear in safe rooms. It's a single-player experience lasting roughly ten hours.
Starting August 6, PS Plus subscribers on any plan can grab the MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls PlayStation Plus Pack from the PlayStation Store. It contains five avatars featuring Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, and Ghost Rider, plus a pose bundle with 20 characters. The pack stays available to download until August 6, 2027.
For those who haven't claimed July's games yet, there's still time until August 3: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, For the King II, and CrossCode. Note that the monthly lineup can differ depending on your region.
This August roster offers plenty of variety, spanning meaty action campaigns, group-friendly co-op games, and moody survival horror. Extras like the MARVEL pack also make the subscription more attractive to a broader range of players.
As we look forward to the upcoming titles in August, it's worth reflecting on the previous month's offerings. Sony's July lineup showcased a variety of games that set the stage for this month's exciting additions. Understanding the evolution of these offerings can enhance your gaming experience and help you make the most of your PlayStation Plus subscription.
