Charges against the public procurement specialist in Kyiv
A public procurement specialist will stand trial in Kyiv, accused of inflating prices for products for a psycho-neurological boarding school, causing significant losses to the budget. The crime was uncovered in December 2022 when it became known that the contract concluded in 2024 for the supply of products, including hard cheese, contained significant price inflations.
The institution received over 3.2 tons of cheese, which formed the basis for the accusation. The losses to the Kyiv budget due to the actions of the specialist exceeded 560 thousand hryvnias. The accused is suspected under part 2 of article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for abuse of office.
