The special forces unit, together with the rebel movement 'Black Spark', launched an attack on two Russian vessels carrying weapons and military equipment. This information was released by the press service of the SSO.

The rebels were familiar with the routes and cargoes of the vessels, and provided the necessary data for carrying out a successful operation.

Damaged vessels in the Caspian Sea

Off the coasts of the Republic of Kalmykia in the Caspian Sea, the vessels 'Composer Rachmaninov' and 'Askar-Saridzha' were damaged, which were used by Russia for military purposes. These vessels were under US sanctions for transporting military cargo between Iran and the Russian Federation.

New steps against Russia's 'shadow fleet'

A court in Germany banned the confiscation of the tanker Eventin, which is part of Russia's 'shadow fleet'. This tanker, listed on the European Union sanctions list, is currently located near the island of Rügen. After a series of attacks by Ukrainian military forces on the vessels of Moscow's 'shadow fleet', insurance premiums for vessels entering Black Sea ports have increased by 250%.

As a result of the special operation in the Caspian Sea, Russian vessels carrying weapons were damaged, and the confiscation of the tanker Eventin was prohibited. The attacks on Russia's 'shadow fleet' have led to an increase in insurance premiums for vessels in Black Sea ports.
