Special Forces Operation Secures Andriivka-Klevtsove

The latest update from Ukraine's Special Operations Forces reports fresh gains in the ongoing war: Ukrainian special operators have regained control of Andriivka-Klevtsove, a settlement on the Oleksandrivka axis, after a ground operation that ended with 30 Russian servicemen surrendering. The assault was carried out by the Tr1ar1um element of the 3rd Special Operations Regiment in coordination with one of the psychological operations centers, and it forced the Russian military to abandon its positions.

How the Operation Unfolded

The operation involved several distinct phases, including:

  • moving special-operations personnel forward
  • dislodging enemy forces from their positions
  • re-establishing control over the area

Russian troops had spent a considerable amount of time trying to hold the village with small groups, but Ukrainian forces overcame their resistance. Those who kept fighting were eliminated, while the Special Operations Forces released footage from the ground phase of the operation.

In separate actions, the Rangers unit of the 6th Special Operations Regiment captured three Russian soldiers and killed one during a combat mission. In July, the 225th Separate Assault Regiment took 64 Russian servicemen prisoner while clearing settlements in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Also, two Ukrainian soldiers from the assault group “Morok” of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment forced six Russian infantrymen from the 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment to lay down their arms.

During the Andriivka-Klevtsove operation, the special operators also found a fawn and removed it from the danger zone.

“30 Russian military personnel were forced to surrender. Those who continued to resist were eliminated. Andriivka-Klevtsove is under Ukraine's control again,” the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

Fighting continues in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where the Dachne area remains occupied. The retaking of Andriivka-Klevtsove is another sign of active Ukrainian military operations against the aggressor, and the account of the mission was published on the Rubryka website on August 17, 2026.

The successful liberation of Andriivka-Klevtsove shows how quickly Ukrainian forces can respond to threats and how effectively they plan and execute combat missions. It also points to the ongoing struggle for strategically important territory, which remains essential for regional security. Operations like this can strengthen morale among troops and civilians by demonstrating progress in Ukraine's fight against aggression.

The successful operation in Andriivka-Klevtsove is part of a broader strategic effort by Ukraine’s military, which has recently concluded its offensive in the Oleksandrivka region, reclaiming significant territory.
