The Prosecutor's Office Returns Money to the State
The General Prosecutor's Office discovered that the defense ministry illegally paid VAT to private companies for fuel supply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the prosecution in the defense sector, between 2023 and 2025, they forced companies through the court to return state funds that were paid as VAT. Fines were also imposed for the illegal use of money.
This year, it was possible to recover 320 million hryvnias by court decision.
Only in the last few weeks, 3 court decisions amounting to over 20 million hryvnias have been executed.
'The prosecution in the defense sector will continue to protect the interests of the state in the budget sphere,' the prosecutor's office stated.
