Weather Forecast for Ukraine on June 22
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center predicts changing cloud cover, with localized rain and possible thunderstorms across the country. While no precipitation is expected overnight, brief showers are forecast for daytime hours, except in the south and southeast. The rest of Ukraine will remain dry.
Winds will mainly come from the northwest at 7–12 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from 14–19°C, climbing to 26–31°C during the day. In the eastern regions, overnight lows will be 11–16°C, with daytime highs reaching 23–28°C.
Kyiv Weather and Forest Belt Conditions
In Kyiv, the sky will be partly cloudy. The night will be dry, but short rains and isolated thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon. The capital will see overnight temperatures of 17–19°C and a daytime high near 30°C. Across Kyiv Oblast, nighttime readings will vary from 14–19°C, with daytime temperatures between 26–31°C.
Separately, Yakiv Didukh, head of a department at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine’s Institute of Botany, warned that southern Ukraine faces a heightened risk of large-scale dust storms. He explained:
