On the case of 'Energoatom': corruption investigation extended until August 2026

Continuation of the investigation into the 'Energoatom' case

The investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the pre-trial investigation period in the corruption case at 'Energoatom' until August 10, 2026. This case involves businessmen, a former Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, and other individuals.

The investigation of corruption offenses at 'Energoatom' is being conducted by the High Anti-Corruption Court. On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced suspicions against seven individuals, among whom are:

  • Timur Mindič, a businessman and co-founder of the 'Kvartal-95' studio;
  • Igor Mironyuk, a former advisor to the Minister of Energy;
  • Dmytro Basov, the Executive Director of Security at 'Energoatom'.

Additionally, Timur Mindič and Oleksandr Tsukerman, who are also suspected of involvement in corruption, have been under sanctions in Ukraine since November 13. On December 1, the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for Timur Mindič in absentia. Among the other suspects in the case are:

  • Igor Fursenko;
  • Lesya Ustyemenko;
  • Ludmila Zorina.
