The administration of President Donald Trump is preparing a new package of sanctions against Russia, which could strike at key sectors of its economy in case Vladimir Putin continues the war against Ukraine. The USA has urged its European partners to use Russian assets to purchase American weapons for Ukraine.
The White House is also discussing the possibility of using Russian assets in the USA to support Ukrainian defense. Last week, sanctions against Russia were introduced for the first time since the beginning of Trump's second term.
A new package of sanctions against Russia is being prepared by the administration of the President of the USA in case Russia continues to interfere in the conflict in Donbas and does not stop its aggressive policy towards Ukraine. Cooperation with European partners to resolve the situation in Eastern Ukraine is also one of the priorities of the American administration.
