US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States is still far from concluding a peace agreement with Russia regarding Ukraine, but there is some progress in the negotiations. He emphasized that 'we are not on the verge of a peace agreement, we are not close, but there is progress, although there is still a lot of work ahead.'
The Secretary of State also noted that after meeting with Vladimir Putin, President Donald Trump called Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders. In this regard, the participants of the meeting plan to arrive in Washington for further discussions on the peace agreement.
It is well known that negotiations between such giants as the US, Russia, Ukraine, and European partners take time and detailed discussions. Although there is some progress, there is still a lot of work to be done before a full-fledged peace agreement is reached.
