The US State Department has approved an agreement with Ukraine for the supply of ERAM air-launched guided munitions and associated equipment worth $825 million, reports 'Glavcom'.
The agreement provides for the procurement of 3350 ERAM missiles and 3350 GPS/INS navigation systems with SAASM module to enhance guidance accuracy. Additionally, it includes transportation containers, launch units, spare parts, management software, and other equipment.
The State Department emphasized that this sale aligns with US foreign policy and strengthens national security interests, providing Ukraine with the technologies for effective defense. The contract will be funded by Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and through the FMF program from the USA.
The agreement for the supply of missiles and equipment from the USA to Ukraine will help strengthen the country's defense capability and provide it with access to cutting-edge technologies to protect against potential threats. It is part of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States and demonstrates support for Ukraine's interests in security and defense.
