During the forum 'Enhancing the Resilience of Ukraine', Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Olga Zykova emphasized the importance of sustainable development, the implementation of European corporate reporting standards, and moving towards sovereign green financing to modernize the Ukrainian economy and integrate into the EU internal market.
Already in 2024, the government approved a strategy for implementing sustainable development reporting, including the transition to European sustainability reporting standards and harmonization of national legislation with European norms in the areas of accounting and auditing.
In the context of introducing green or sustainable sovereign bonds, Ukraine has already made some progress in establishing legislative and regulatory frameworks that meet international standards. This is expected to promote the systematic use of sustainable financing tools in the future. The forum also presented a new national coordination platform - the Sustainable Development Financing Platform aimed at supporting reconstruction and attracting investments.
