According to the survey conducted by the Pollster Research Institute on behalf of Super Express, the majority of Poles – 70% – stated that in the event of a Russian attack, they would remain in the country and participate in its defense. Only 30% of respondents expressed a desire to leave Poland. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.

Major of the Polish Army Arkadiusz Kups expressed his surprise at the survey results: 'I expected the proportions to be close to 50-50, so what I see is encouraging.'

Major Kups noted that leaving in case of war may only be justified for women with children, while those who have a duty to defend the country should remain. He hopes that reality corresponds to the respondents' declarations. The major also shared that during security training in large companies, young people often inquire whether it is time to leave the country and which destinations are the safest.

According to the survey conducted on September 10-11, 2025, using the CAWI method among 1,020 adult Poles, the majority expressed a desire to stay in the country for its defense.

After the recent invasion of Russian drones into Polish territory, citizens began actively searching for housing abroad. The most popular destinations have become Spain and Bulgaria. It should be noted that during the massive attack on Ukraine on the night of September 10, several strike drones entered Polish territory, which required action from Polish troops.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims it did not plan to attack targets on Polish territory, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to assist Poland in building a warning and protection system against similar incidents involving Russian drones.

The survey revealed that the majority of Poles prefer to stay in the country and participate in its defense in case of an early Russian attack. The major of the Polish army expressed surprise at these results and emphasized the importance of the obligation to defend the country in case of threat. It was also mentioned that citizens are actively seeking housing abroad due to recent drone attacks and the offer of the Ukrainian president to help Poland build a protection system.
