The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has started a public discussion on the country's biodiversity conservation strategy until 2035. The document was developed in collaboration with UNDP Ukraine and the Global Environment Facility.
The goal of the strategy is to achieve global biodiversity targets, including halting losses, restoring ecosystems, integrating nature conservation into the economy, resilience to climate risks, and supporting Ukraine's 'green' recovery.
“The document was developed by the relevant department of the Ministry together with UNDP Ukraine and with the support of the GEF. After approval, the Strategy will be considered by the Government.”
