From June 2024 to November 2025, Ukrainian banks actively supported projects in the energy sector. For instance, financing was provided for the construction of 1.3 GW energy generation and for energy storage and heat generation projects totaling 0.5 GW.
During this time, funding for energy recovery projects and ensuring energy independence was attracted in 21 regions of the country, amounting to 33.5 billion UAH. In particular, over 2.5 thousand loans were issued to businesses for a total of 31.3 billion UAH and 13 thousand loans to households for a total of 2.2 billion UAH.
'The total loan portfolio related to energy for legal entities as of December 1 amounted to 21.8 billion UAH, for individuals – 1.7 billion UAH.'
Overall, Ukrainian banks actively supported the development of projects in the energy sector, contributing to increased energy independence and the recovery of energy in various regions of Ukraine.
