The government proposes changes to the legislation on fines for traffic violations
The Government of Ukraine has submitted proposals for changes to the legislation on fines for traffic violations, having submitted the corresponding draft law to the Verkhovna Rada. In particular, it is proposed to increase the voluntary payment period for fines from ten to fifteen days.
In addition, the government proposes to change the deadlines for the enforcement of the fine resolution - from 30 days to three months. The aim of these changes is to avoid unintentional late payments and reduce the administrative burden on drivers. It is believed that this will contribute to a better understanding of the difficulties citizens face when paying fines and provide a more flexible mechanism for enforcing resolutions.
