Shooting in Kyiv on April 18: what is known about the attacker
According to the investigation, the man opened fire in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital. He was moving down the street and shooting at passersby.
According to the Attorney General Ruslan Krachenko, the criminal killed four people, after which he barricaded himself in a supermarket and took hostages.
«In the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, a 58-year-old native of Moscow opened fire, killed four people, and afterwards barricaded himself in a supermarket while holding hostages,» noted Ruslan Krachenko.
During the assault, the KORD special unit eliminated the attacker. It was also reported that there was a fire in the apartment where he was registered.

According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, the shooter acted randomly, approaching people at close range.

The name of the attacker, according to sources, is Dmitry Vasilchenkоv.
