Finland Reveals Details of Security Guarantees for Ukraine: What They Entail

Finnish President Alexander Stubb assured that progress is being made in developing security guarantees for Ukraine, but noted that a peace agreement must be reached before they can be implemented. This was reported by Reuters.



'We are making progress on this issue and hope to find a solution soon,' said the Finnish president. He also expressed cautious optimism regarding the possibility of a peaceful resolution or cessation of hostilities between Ukraine and Russia in the near future.


Stubb also revealed details of cooperation with American allies: 'We need to align security measures with the United States, which is providing support for this. We are working on these issues together with our military commanders, who are developing specific plans for such operations.'



The U.S. government refuses to send troops to Ukraine but is ready to provide air support and intelligence data as part of the security guarantees. The European Commission is also actively working on plans for a possible deployment of military contingents to Ukraine.
