New Scholarship Rates Announced for Ukrainian Students
Beginning September 1, 2026, Ukraine will implement revised academic and named scholarship amounts for students enrolled in higher education and specialized pre-university programs. The state budget allocates 6.6 billion hryvnias for these payments—an increase of 1.2 billion hryvnias compared to last year. - Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Scholarship – 8,000 hryvnias (currently 4,000 hryvnias)
- Minimum Academic Scholarship – 4,000 hryvnias (currently 2,000 hryvnias)
- Enhanced Academic Scholarship – 5,820 hryvnias (currently 2,910 hryvnias)
- Sector-Based Scholarship – 5,100 hryvnias (currently 2,550 hryvnias)
- Enhanced Sector-Based Scholarship – 7,420 hryvnias (currently 3,710 hryvnias)
For college students, the new scholarship amounts are:
- President of Ukraine Scholarship – 15,200 hryvnias (currently 7,600 hryvnias)
- Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Scholarship – 6,640 hryvnias (currently 3,320 hryvnias)
- Minimum Academic Scholarship – 3,020 hryvnias (currently 1,510 hryvnias)
- Enhanced Academic Scholarship – 4,394 hryvnias (currently 2,197 hryvnias)
- Sector-Based Scholarship – 3,860 hryvnias (currently 1,930 hryvnias)
- Enhanced Sector-Based Scholarship – 5,618 hryvnias (currently 2,809 hryvnias)
It is worth noting that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has also set aside 1 billion hryvnias to modernize 73 school cafeterias. These changes underscore a growing commitment to student support and the enhancement of educational infrastructure across the country.
