Colonel Valentyn Manko, head of the Assault Troops Directorate, explained in an interview with 'Gromadske' that the newly formed Assault Troops have their own structure and tasks, distinct from the Air Assault Troops. Although the official status of the unit has yet to be received, Manko is already commanding them.
Assault Troops are considered the strike fist of the army, capable of accomplishing important tasks and breaking through the enemy's defense. The creation of mobile groups for successful task execution has already been successfully tested since 2014. Significant changes in the Ukrainian army also relate to the formation of drone systems for air defense in the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, aimed at increasing effectiveness and modernization.
The Ukrainian army continues to modernize its military units by introducing new units and technologies to enhance its combat readiness and effectiveness in modern conditions.
