Creation of a medical services system for defenders
The Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the creation of a medical services system aimed at the real needs of military personnel. One such program is free dental treatment and prosthetics. According to data for 2025, nearly 94,000 patients have benefited from these services.
The dental services provided cover the full spectrum from initial examination to complex prosthetics. It is important that the state ensures the restoration of dental health after service conditions or captivity. These services are available in medical institutions with contracts with the National Health Service, among which there are already about 500 institutions across the country.
New healthcare initiatives
With the start of the new year, new initiatives are being introduced, such as long-term medical care and services for correcting scar tissue changes in the skin after injuries and burns. The government continues to develop other veteran medical services, which include an expanded primary healthcare program, psychological support, rehabilitation abroad, and ophthalmological assistance.
To provide more opportunities for veterans, their families, and female veterans, necessary services can be accessed and registered on the Veteran platform. The procedure can be carried out on the website https://veteranpro.gov.ua/.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko added that the creation of this medical services system is an important step in supporting military personnel and their families. The new initiatives are aimed at improving access to quality medical care for defenders of Ukraine, ensuring them the necessary medical services and support.
