Solid Fuel Heating Subsidy

The Ukrainian Pension Fund's main office in the Kirovohrad region has announced that citizens without central heating can apply for a housing subsidy to help pay for solid fuels like firewood, coal, or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). This annual assistance is available to households that do not use gas or electricity as their primary heating source. Applications can be submitted either online or in person.

Subsidy Eligibility Requirements

The solid fuel heating subsidy is open both to new applicants and to those already receiving utility bill compensation. The key requirement is the absence of gas or electric heating in the home. The state guarantees support for the purchase of a minimum of two tons of solid fuel per year per household. The exact payment amount is calculated individually, based on the household's total income from the previous calendar year.

This financial aid is available not only to Ukrainian citizens but also to foreign nationals and stateless persons who reside legally in the country. Applications and declarations can be submitted through online services, including the Diia portal, the Ministry of Social Policy website, and the personal account on the Pension Fund site. For in-person assistance, applicants can visit Pension Fund service centers, administrative service centers, or local councils.

This initiative represents a significant step in supporting households that lack access to centralized heating, a crucial need given Ukraine's cold winters. The solid fuel subsidy aims to ease the financial burden on families, ensuring they can afford essential heating materials. The availability of online application services simplifies access to this aid, which is expected to increase the number of households that benefit from the program.
